ONEPLUS 6 LOCKS HORNS WITH IPHONE X AT HALF THE PRICE

It has been suggested that the OnePlus 6 is the ‘flagship device killer’, could this be true? Starting at only £469 for the 64GB version this comes in at less than half the price of the iPhone x.

The OnePlus 6 flagship smartphone has been available since May 2018. The smartphone manufacturer OnePlus is aiming to compete in the market against many of the top branded smartphones including the Samsung Galaxy S9 and the Apple iPhone x.

TheOnePlus 6 was revealed at the much awaited launch event in London on Wednesday 23rd May. The smartphone packs features many industry leading features such as 256GB of storage, Qualcomm® Snapdragon™ 845 processor and a 6.28 inch screen.

The device also sports a 20 megapixel rear facing camera and a front-facing camera camera for those 16 megapixel packed, crisp selfies. If you’re literally attached to your wired headphones the OnePlus 6 still includes a 3.5mm headphone jack which are disappearing from many newly launched smartphones including the HTC U11 and Huawei p20 Pro.

For those who like the freedom of wireless OnePlus have now released the Bullets Wireless headphones, not overpriced at £69.

The Bullets Wireless headphones charge in 10 minutes and give 5 hours of performance however if you prefer wired then the OnePlus wired bullets come in a only £15.99. The headphones can be bought as a bundle for added value. Lightweight in-ear chambers, weigh only 2 grams.

OnePlus has confirmed that the OnePlus 6T will not come with the 3.5mm headphone jack plug.

OnePlus founder Carl Pei disclosed that the next OnePlus device will not have with the 3.5mm jack and will instead use USB-C.

The OnePlus One smartphone was officially unveiled in 2014 describing the device as a “flagship killer”, and priced at only US$299 for the base 16GB model was approximately half the price of the rival and recently released Samsung Galaxy S5.

The OnePlus 6 has been available since 24th May 2018. The current price of the device is £469 for the 64Gb version. The iPhone x base model price is approximately £999 giving OnePlus a massive advantage over pricing in a competitive, price sensitive market.
